18-22 February 2008 - Orientation Week
During orientation week, students attend university to take part in various social and academic activities that allow them to get an idea of what the university life will be like during the semester. It is during this week that the Business Students' Association will be out in full force to make students aware of our activities and how we can benefit their time at university.

Date: Monday 28th April
Time: 4 -5 pm
Venue: John Scott Meeting House (Next to Car Park 7)
Cost to Attend: FREE
Light snacks and drinks will be provided
The Victorian Branch of Economics Society of Australia is having a careers/information session at La Trobe University.
The idea is to run an afternoon session where students and staff at the
University listen to 3 professional economists talk briefly about how they got
into their current roles and about how studying economics helped them. Then the
honours program coordinator would be invited to outline the university's program
and the qualification criteria.
Following this, there would be a chance for employers, university staff and students to mingle over soft drinks and nibbles to talk through their own experience and for students to ask the employers about permanent and vacation employment opportunities.
Employers from the state government, federal government and private sector are keen to attend to such an event to mingle, answer questions from students and hand out information about their organisations.
02 May 2008 - Staff vs. Students Soccer Match
Download Full Event Information by clicking the picture below.
The idea behind this match is to help students, particularly those from an international background, make friends while studying at La Trobe. What better forum than the ‘World Game’.
When: Friday 2 May at 3pm.
Where: the La Trobe University tennis courts (adjacent to the Sports Centre, next to car park number 6).
A few things to consider:
Only students who are currently enrolled in the School of Business are eligible.
Casual tutors are considered staff not students for the purpose of this game.
Each side will be permitted a maximum of 20 players for the match.
The surface is synthetic, so bring runners not soccer boots.
Training will begin in mid April.
For those who miss out or decide not to play, we will need volunteers to set up the equipment, officiate the game and pack up.
We also need a crowd!
There will be a post-game drink at the Eagle Bar starting at around 5pm.
To register your interest as a player, sponsor or volunteer, contact:
