60 seconds with William, Consultant

At uni I studied… A double degree - Bachelor of Commerce (Finance & Accounting major) and Bachelor of Business (Business Economics major).

A typical day for me involves… Working on a transaction in some facet whether it’s researching a target company, valuing a company or building a financial model to assist a client with a specific project. The fundamentals of the work generally stay the same but the companies in the spotlight span across a broad industry set, keeping you on your toes as you stay up to date with what’s happening in the market.

My advice for students wanting to apply for Ernst & Young is… Make the most of career days and networking events where you will have the opportunity to talk to EY employees. A good personality is an important trait that recruiters will be looking for and making a good impression at these events will hold you in good stead.

When I’m not working I’m… Planning my next overseas trip. I have recently returned back to work after some travels around Peru, Bolivia and Argentina!
